One of the most important and visible contributions to the Kerrville Independent School District community is the scholarships that KPSF offers its students. The scholarships give graduating high school seniors funding toward their college education. Here is a list of currently offered scholarships:
- Henry H. “Rique” Remschel Memorial Scholarship – $10,,000
- Two KISD Staff Student Scholarships – $2,000 each
KPSF was honored to accept a generous endowment in memory of Henry H. “Rique” Remschel. A long-time resident of the Hill Country, Mr. Remschel’s family has lived in the area for generations. Raised in Kerrville, he was a proud graduate of Tivy High School, class of 1945. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 80.
A scholarship in Mr. Remschel’s name is awarded during the Tivy High School Senior Awards Assembly each May. The scholarship demonstrates the commitment of Mrs. Remschel and her family to honor her late husband and children’s father. Also, the scholarship expresses the Remschel family’s commitment to encourage the youth of our community to further their education and set goals for the future.
Income from this endowment will provide college scholarships for future generations of Tivy graduates.
