The Kerrville Public School Foundation offers an annual Teacher of the Year program. This program is designed to recognize exceptional classroom teaching within the Kerrville Independent School District. Two Teacher of the Year awards are given: one to a deserving classroom teacher at the Pre-School through Grade 5 level (Elementary Level) and the other to a deserving classroom teacher at the Grade 6 through Grade 12 level (Secondary Level). Additionally, a monetary award of $2500 is given to each recipient.
All classroom teachers completing at least five years in this district, including the 2017-2018 school year, are eligible to be nominated. The Kerrville Public School Foundation focuses upon effective instruction. This recognition is consistent with KISD’s stated goals and emphasis upon excellence in its instructional program.
We invite our community members, parents, educators, and staff to participate in this program by nominating a classroom teacher who exemplifies the finest in the profession. To do so, download and fill out the Nomination Form (see below), contact the principal of your or your child’s school, contact the Kerrville Public School Foundation office at (830) 257-9282, or email us at email@example.com.
